Michigan 4-H is a youth development program of Michigan State University Extension. They provide fun, hands-on educational opportunities that prepare youth for life and work by helping them find their spark, build real world skills and become resilient, adaptable, lifelong learners.
Instances of Whitmore Lake Area Human Services (WLAHS) and Michigan 4-H collaborating can be seen throughout the year by providing educational activities to the children and adolescence of the greater Whitmore Lake area. WLAHS has also supported Michigan 4-H in their program Washtenaw County Youth Commission – a youth advisory program that provides a platform for young constituents of Washtenaw to advise the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners on issues affecting youth.
