Sandie Bodi,
Trustee

More about Sandie

Sandie moved to Whitmore Lake from the Waterford area in 2002. Retired from West Bloomfield Clerk’s Office in 2015, she joined Living Water Lutheran Church of Whitmore Lake and became a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Mentor Mom.

After a encouraging challenge from a member of the Living Water congregation to make a difference in the community, Sandie began volunteering at the food pantry in the fall of 2015 and was soon appointed to the Board for (then) Northfield’s Human
Services and their sister non-profit People’s Express.

She has served as co-coordinator for the food pantry’s
Stuff the Bus and Adopt a Family/Senior programs, and worked towards bringing the Hamilton Community Health Network clinic to Whitmore Lake.

Sandie has served two terms as a Trustee of the Horseshoe Lake Homeowners Association and
participated in many new subdivision projects such as: beautification, Trick or Treat on the Trail,
Holiday Judging Contest, and the annual Thank you BBQ for volunteers.

Sandie is also part of The Headband Ladies, a group of over 2 dozen yarn artists that create warm headbands for over 10,000 children each winter using donated yarn to “keep little ears warm” in needed elementary and
Head Start schools in Michigan.

Sandie feels that volunteering at the food pantry is the best job in the world because you get to
give food to people who need it.

Sandie has 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
