Monday activities include…

  • Unloading boxes from supply truck
  • Storing cans, boxes, and packages of food
  • Preparing groceries for delivery
    • Volunteers may help deliver groceries

Can I get my hours documented?

Volunteer hours can be documented if you need them for school, community service, etc. Be sure to bring any required documents from your organization. Our Managing Director, Ramona Meadows, is happy to sign as proof of your time.

How long should I stay when I volunteer?

Help as long as you want! If you’re only able to volunteer half an hour of your time or if you want to dedicate a full day, we appreciate any and all help. WLAHS services over 500 people and we receive thousands of pounds of food a week; we rely on the teamwork of our community to ensure all of our neighbors receive the assistance they need.

When can I come in and volunteer?

Our volunteer days are typically…

  • Mondays, 8 AM -12 PM
  • Tuesdays, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM

We do have other opportunities to volunteer outside of these hours. This would typically be as a result of an event, such as a food drive. Please watch our Facebook page for any announcements for volunteers.
